Paying at Allergins should take a minute and hold no surprises. Here is exactly what happens when you reach the checkout, and what to do if something goes wrong.

The options open to you are shown on the checkout page itself. Anything not listed there is not supported.

How your details are protected

The checkout runs over SSL/TLS encryption and is processed by Shopify Payments, which operates to PCI-DSS standards. Full card numbers and payment credentials are never written to our servers; what reaches us is a confirmation that the payment went through, the method used, and the last digits needed to send a refund back to the right place.

When you are charged

Your payment method is authorised and charged when you confirm the order, not when it ships. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD), and the total you approve at checkout covers the product price and any applicable tax. Standard shipping within our Canadian delivery area is free with no minimum order, so there is no delivery charge added at the last step and no hidden fee anywhere.

If a payment is declined

  • Check that the card number and the billing address match what your bank holds on file.
  • Make sure the funds or the available credit cover the total.
  • Look for a block or a limit set by your issuer, which is common on a first order with a new shop.
  • Try one of the other methods listed above.

If it still will not go through, your bank can see the reason before we can. Write to us anyway and we will help from our side.

Order confirmation

A confirmation email follows a successful payment within a few minutes. If it has not arrived, check the spam or promotions folder first, then send a note to support@allergins.com with the name used at checkout and we will find the order.
